The mission of the Santa Clara County Social Services Agency is to provide resources and opportunities in a culturally responsive manner to enhance the quality of life in our community by protecting, educating and empowering individuals and families.
Our vision is to serve, empower, and transform.
Continuing to serve the residents of Santa Clara County
The County of Santa Clara Social Services Agency (SSA) is committed to providing high quality services to all our eligible residents, including many immigrant families and individuals. We encourage all residents in need of our services and aid to continue to access SSA’s services and service centers.
The wellbeing of our County improves when all residents have timely access to needed services. SSA facilities in Santa Clara County will continue to provide resources and aid in an environment that is safe for all residents who are eligible and in need of our programs, regardless of immigration status, ability to pay, race, religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
Federal policy suggests immigration agents should avoid stopping, searching or arresting immigrants in social service centers, except in limited circumstances. SSA rigorously protects our clients’ privacy and will not share private information we receive during the application process. People seeking service will only be asked about immigration status to see if they are eligible for benefits. The federal government does not access our systems for immigration enforcement action. SSA service centers in Santa Clara County remain welcoming and open to all residents in need in our community and we encourage residents to utilize these resources.
