The 5th edition of Middle East’s premier event for flooring, wall covering and ceiling solutions Surface Design Middle East will take place, as a part of Middle East Design and Hospitality Week 2019, from 17th – 19th September 2019 at Dubai World Trade Centre. According to a BMI Research report, ‘the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) construction market is expected to be worth US$336 billion by 2020’. Real estate projects spanning hospitality, retail and residential are driving the demand in architecture and interior products. At the event, architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, other related industry professionals as well as CEOs, GMs and MDs will have access to an extensive range of products that include surface materials, composite flooring, textiles and wall coverings that will bolster their offerings to cater to the forecasted demand.
ReadThe UAE Space Agency and the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre have confirmed that the launch of the Emirates Mars Mission (EMM)’s Hope Probe, is in less than a year. MBRSC said it plans to launch the Hope Probe into orbit around mid-July 2020, and it is expected to reach Mars orbit in the first quarter of 2021, the year of the Golden Jubilee of the UAE. The programme aims to collect information on Mars' meteorological layers and study the causes of loss of hydrogen and oxygen gases, the two main constituents of water, from the upper layer of the Martian atmosphere. For the first time, a space exploration mission will be able to take a global picture of the Martian atmosphere.

Telecoms, phones, personal computers, aluminium, gold, automobiles, and engines topped the list of the most traded commodities between Dubai and China. China has been Dubai’s top trading partner since 2014, after the emirate cemented its status as a major regional and global hub for the Chinese market. A statement released by Dubai Customs in conjunction with the milestone visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, noted that there are as many as 876 active Chinese businesses currently registered with Dubai Customs, including 623 firms holding trade licences, 244 licenced free-zone establishments, and nine companies with professional licences.
ReadEmirates Airline transported 13 million passengers to and from China over the past 10 years, which reflects the demand for flights between China and Dubai and the growing number of flights between the UAE and China. The airline noted that it currently operates five flights to China per day, or 35 flights per week, on its Airbus A380 aircraft, which transported 1.7 million passengers to and from China in 2018.

An account's posts can be shared publicly or with pre-approved followers. Users can browse other users' content by tags and locations, and view trending content. Users can "like" photos, and follow other users to add their content to a feed.
