Hello, my name is Joana Mendes and I’m the great granddaughter of the first owner of the Windmill. André was his name and he built the windmill in 1900. Molinum, a Soulful Country House is the continuation of the family business. The rural tourism project has its grounds on the mill existence and has been developing around it. The mill is the soul and the brand image of the project. Molinum and the Mill’s House, or Casa do Moinho, have been lovingly restored by his owner, who has taken great care to recreate the ambiance and spirit of a turn of the century farmstead. A distinctive saffron and white coloured buildings, typical Algarvian beamed ceiling in the living room with fireplace, and beautifully furnished with antiques.
