Real estate brokerage and tech firm Compass has increased its presence in New York City with the recent purchase of the Stribling luxury residential brokerage firm. This expansion adds over 300 agents and 50 employees to its New York City operations.
Compass Continues to Dominate New York Real Estate Competition
New to the real estate scene, the fast-growing Compass first made headlines in Westchester County in early 2018. It had announced an agreement to acquire Platinum Drive Realty, which was based in Scarsdale, Westchester Country. The latest deal with Stribling means that Compass now has over 1,800 agents at 11 offices.
Stribling Mentions the “Future of Real Estate”
On the acquisition, Elizabeth Stribling went on to say that she “could not be more excited to begin a new life at Compass. Compass represents the future of real estate brokerages and Stribling will now be a part of this exciting new world.” Compass was founded in 2012, and it has grown to include over 10,000 agents across 248 offices in 132 markets across America.
